Awesome design

Got this tent last year before there were such good deals on it. I must say, this tent is awesome - a complete breeze to set up (one person, no problem), and very spacious inside thanks to the clever pole integration. The poles are also terrific, being not only light and strong, but pre-curved and flared so they almost put themselves together when you shake them out. Also with the pole clips you no longer have to worry about threading poles into sleeves (always a hassle). The breeze flow through is terrific, and sleeping under the stars (no fly) with good weather gives you an unobstructed 360 degree view without subjecting you to bugs. Definitely a unique experience!I recommend getting the footprint (to protect the thin bottom of the tent) and leaving it clipped to the tent when packed for easy deployment.One last note - the compression carry bag with it's multiple compartments (tent, poles, stakes/lines) is a lifesaver. It's the first tent that I've added bulk to (added more tent stakes and the footprint/ground cloth) that consistently manages to compress into a smaller package than when I first opened the box.5 stars all around - very impressed with Nemo so far.

I purchased my Nemo Losi 3P for for $325 from HumbleOutdoors, it came with a free footprint.By adding only one extra pound of weight, NEMO increased the interior from 32 to 50 sq ft. I love the Losi 3P pole configuration which provides super strength and almost vertical walls for max usable interior space. Two people can move around in this tent, definitely worth the extra pound.

The Losi is one remarkable tent. It is light enough to carry on a backpacking trip if shared by two people, yet roomy enough to work for car camping. We're just back from a trip to the Catskill Mountains, where the tent housed me, my wife, and our two border collies...with lots of room to spare. It is very easy to pitch. And, although the weather really didn't test it, the tent felt extremely stable. We especially liked the interior details: besides the normal pockets along the sides, a gear caddy is included, with lots of pockets and a very cool light diffusing pocket for headlamps.If you buy this tent, I recommend that you buy the pawprint with it. This microfiber liner snaps into the floor. It not only protects the tent floor from doggie claws, but allows you to slip your sleeping pad or mattress underneath. This prevents the pad from slipping, and gives you a soft surface to sleep on, much like a good flannel sheet. In cool weather (low '50's), we used our sleeping bags as quilts and slept right on the pawprint.The only slight quibble is the slightly fiddly zippers on the tent doors. Nemo clearly wanted to save some weight, and I'm willing to put up with it to make it a real backpacking tent.
